A bit about Barry: The lovely Barry was left on the streets, when he came into our care he had severe skin infection. He went straight to the vets and his been on a course of steroids, antibiotics, and topical treatment. He was also underweighted. His skin has almost cleared up (he just has some fur missing on his ears) and he is gaining weight nicely.
He is a sweet boy; in the kennels he is very quiet and chilled out. He enjoys watching all the staff and other dogs. When he is on his walks, he loves any toys especially squeaky toys and tennis balls.
It’s clear that he has had some training put into him, he is very clever. He can be a little fussy with treats, he likes only the best high value treats.
Does he like other dogs: Barry is very hit and miss with other dogs. He will walk next to them calmly at a distance but if they approach him, he will tell them off. For this reason, we wouldn’t rehome him to a home with other dogs.
Children and other animals in the home: Barry is looking for an Adult only home! We are unsure if he has met any cats- we probably wouldn’t rehome him to a home with any other animals.
